Submission Guidelines

Atonal Poetry Review (A.P.R.) is an electronic journal, published by atonal press (Boerne, TX), that showcases unconventional writers and subject matter far from the main stream.  Featuring beat, postmodern, jazz, and free verse poetry from all over the world.
 
Poetry Submission Guidelines:

Submit up to 6 poems up to 60 lines long, or a longer poem up to 200 lines long. There is no restriction to style or theme. Experimental poems above all are most welcome. We accept foreign language poems as long as they are accompanied with appropriate English language translations. Poems must be submitted with single line spacing attached within the body of an email.  (No attachments, please).  Please submit a biographical note about yourself in the email.

Poems must be PREVIOUSLY UNPUBLISHED in print or online. Poems posted in forums for discussion or workshops are not deemed to have been previously published. Submissions are on-going. Please allow up to 8 weeks for the editors'
decision.

Essays, Reviews and Interviews:

We are open to accept highly critical academic essays and reviews of poetry, or interviews with some of the jazz musicians, poets, or composers that have had an impact on writers. Essays may be up to 8,000 words long, in English (or translation to English) and not been  previously published (with the exception of thesis or dissertation within an academic publishing house). As with the poetry guidelines above, submit a biographical note **We currently do not pay poets for publishing their work in this online journal.**
